Thai Massage Therapeutics I: Certification Intensive

In this class students will focus in-depth on sen lines and Thai pressure points while deepening their understanding of Thai element theory through both lecture and direct experience gained through element meditations and interpersonal investigation.

• Strong focus on Thai element theory, sen line theory, and point theory.
• Learn Thai fire cupping, body scraping for therapeutic relief.
• Lectures, demonstrations and hands-on direct experience.
• Use Thai balms, liniments and poultices for chronic and acute first aid.
• Students learn spot specific therapeutic Thai bodywork treatments.
• Explore extended client care through the traditional Thai medicine lens including diet and lifestyle advising

This Thai massage training deepens the massage experience with a focus on the practitioner’s inner practice and understanding as we further explore the Buddhist element to Thai healing work with ritual, Dharma talks and practice.

The information presented here is rarely communicated to westerners studying Thai massage and could therefore be considered very advanced; however, it is our feeling that in an ideal world this would be the starting point for all Thai massage studies and so we allow students to begin with any of our classes.
