Thai Herbal Massage Certification Workshop

Thai Herbal massage teaches students to use traditional hot herbal compresses in a Thai massage session. Thai herbal massage is an easy way to provide deep therapy and relaxation using aromatic healing herbs. Hot herbal compresses can be used on any client for an extra special Thai massage session, and are especially beneficial to clients who cannot receive deep pressure, but want the benefits therein. Medicinal Thai Cooking Workshop
This fun weekend class is divided into two sections: medicinal cooking, and non-edible herbal products.
We will spend Saturday creating delicious meals and teas using Thai herbs and spices that promote health and healing. Students will enjoy eating together while learning the art of Thai cooking for well-being. We will make teas, soups, salads and curry paste from scratch in the traditional way using a mortal and pestle. Students will go home with leftovers to share, and their own earthen mortal and pestle.
Sunday will be spent making traditional potions used in daily Thai life for healing, massage, and beauty. We will make herbal balms, lotions, compresses and oils for healing wounds, relaxing muscles, opening sinuses, skin rejuvenation, clearing congested lungs, and more.. Students will take home samples of, and recipes for, all products made in class. Over the course of the weekend students will be introduced to Thai herbalism and gain an understanding of the holistic model of Thai health as it relates to Thai culture and spirituality. And, as with all Naga Center classes, there will be a daily traditional Thai ceremony. This class was designed by and is taught by Nephyr Jacobsen. It is the result of extensive time spent in Thailand enjoying the food and wondering what that mystery balm could be.
