We are working on a new website that will better accomodate for these special classes, but for now you can find them here.
Introduction to Vedic Astrology
Wednesday Evenings April 28th - June 9th
Traditional Thai Medicine consists of many branches, with Thai bodywork, or Thai massage, being the main branch known in the West. In Thailand a traditional medicine practitioner may specialize in one branch, but will be well versed in the medical theory that underlies all the branches, and will have a working knowledge of all the branches. As The Naga Center grows we are bringing in more and more classes that allow students to better understand the various branches of Thai medicine. One such branch is astrology, and the primary astrology system used in Thailand is Vedic Astrology.
Vedic astrology is utilized by traditional medicine practitioners in Thailand to help patients better understand health conditions that they are prone to and how best to take care of themselves based on their astrological chart. Those who have a basic understanding of Thai element theory will be able to utilize Vedic Astrology to better guide their clients in health and lifestyle choices.
The "Introduction to Vedic Astrology" course consists of 7 unique lessons that provide an overview of Vedic Astrology - the timeless "science of light" from ancient India. The course will meet once a week for two hours and offers beginning information regarding the Vedic perspective of the heavens, including the Vedic zodiac, planets, houses etc.
The course will also provide the introductory skills necessary to begin the analysis and interpretation of the Vedic Astrology natal chart/horoscope. The course includes weekly homework assignments and a final exam and meets requirements for 12 credit hours toward degree certification with the American College of Vedic Astrology.
This unique class is taught by Michael Vogt, a practicing Vedic Astrologer of 19 years and founding member of the American College of Vedic Astrology.
